First week home

We have been home for a week and things are going pretty well around here.  Will is adjusting to having his little brother at home (he definitely received the royal treatment while staying with Grandma, Pops, and Uncle Quise so it took a few days to bring him back to reality:)  He loves to hold Jack, pat his back to burp him (he said to me the other day, “be gentle, Mommy, be gentle.” ), and give him kisses.  It is so sweet to see them together.  Jack also had his first bath at home-he didn’t really care too much for it.  On Saturday, Andrew took Will to a couple of softball games to see the USA women’s team play.  Will really enjoyed it and they had a great time together.

Jack 087

Jack Wesley Porter arrived on July 9th at 8:32 am.  He weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz and is 20 1/4 inches long.  He is absolutely perfect and we are so thankful for him!  God is so good.

I remember when I was a kid thinking 30 was old!  Well, now that I am officially 30, I feel old.  For some reason I had a hard time with turning 30.  The last hour of being in my twenties turned into  me laying in bed saying “in 40 minutes I am going to be 30”, “In 30 minutes I am going to be old.”   You get the picture! I had a great birthday as Tiffany planned a golf outing with Andy, Michael, Marshall, my dad, Jim, Matt and Marquise.  Afterwards, we went over to my parents and had burgers, hot dogs, and birthday cake with friends and family.   Even though it was hard, it was a great birthday!

For Papa…finally

My dad sent Will this soccer outfit in May.  He was supposed to wear it to watch HH in the State Finals, but since they didn’t make it (they were hosed in the semi-final game) we had not put him in it yet.  It would have been too painful for Andrew 🙂  Anyway, he loved putting it on and he loved kicking the ball around in it.  Thanks, Papa for the special outfit!  I love you.
